A team of Winona State University faculty and alumni discovered a massive 66-million-year-old fossil of an Edmontosaurus in North Dakota. The experts stated this specimen is one of the rarest dinosaur fossils present in the globe. “We discovered that there was skin preserved along with the bones,” Winona State University Geoscience Department Chair Dr. Lee Beatty said. “When you have skin preservation on a large articulated fossil like this, that’s even more rare.
