The kids are gone to Sweden for TWO WHOLE WEEKS while I’m working! Tonight I had a solo dinner with a glass of wine after a day which started with a long walk, reading a book with a coffee, a proper breakfast instead of their leftovers. No one has asked me to wipe their arse, there’s been no meltdowns over cutting a bagel the wrong way, THE CUSHIONS HAVE REMAINED ON THE SOFA and I haven’t had to hold anyone down to brush their teeth or convince them to put their clothes on! Like I miss them obvs
