In November last year we deployed a Wildlife Computers finmount satellite-linked tag on a pantropical spotted dolphin off Hawai‘i Island using the TADpole tool – this tag transmitted 73 days, providing the longest track of a tagged spotted dolphin! This animation shows the movements of the individual (with yellow during the day and black at night) - this individual remained off the west side of the island for the entire deployment. Over the weekend, IMMS responded to a stranding event on Petit Bois Island. A group of four dolphins was discovered and reported to our Stranding Hotline.
