Luffa Gourd growing tip:💡🌱🧽 ~ Loofahs are fun to grow and it’s always gratifying to harvest and peel the mature sponges at the end of the season. Luffas need a long growing season (120 days) so here in zone 7b we start the seeds indoors in early March. ⬇️ 1- Luffa seeds have a hard outer-shell. We nick the shell with nail clippers which allows moisture into the seed and significantly speeds up germination. 2- Place the nicked seeds in a wet paper towel inside a plastic bag.
