You definitely want to be PATIENT and wait until the fruit is so soft it seems like it’s ready to burst at the slightest touch. Otherwise, you’ll get this really weird feeling in your mouth! By the way, this is the pointed variety, not the flat ones (fuyu persimmons). You can eat fuyu persimmons firm, though I like to let them ripen with an apple for a few days to soften them slightly. | Healthy Nibbles
