I joined ABC7 Chicago to give my recollection of such a dark day in our history five years ago. January 6th was a violent example of the deep divide created by President Trump’s false claims of a rigged election. Claims that led to destruction and needless loss of lives. His attempt to whitewash the history of this day cannot be allowed to succeed. We must remember January 6th as an attack on our democracy, and a reminder to keep fighting for a better tomorrow. | Congressman Brad Schneider
