The Vergina Royal Tombs in northern Greece are the final resting place for several members of the ancient Macedonian dynasty of Alexander the Great.While it was known that a tumulus existed near the ruin of the royal palace of Aigai, the contents wouldn’t be rediscovered until the 1970s.Archeologist Manolis Andronikos and his team began excavations at the Tumulus and discovered a cluster of 3 lower tombs. One had been raided in ancient times, but the other two had not. Inside were a massive cach
