Assuming you have macOS Sonoma installed: For wallpaper/screensavers, go to System Settings > Wallpaper, and select Landscape, Cityscape, Underwater, or Earth category of wallpapers. Given that two sizes—12" and 13"—are rumored, I think the 12" will reach $700 or a bit below. It will exist partly to upsell people to the 13", which I expect to cost around $800. Suggest learning to use Spotlight (cmd+space bar) to launch apps. Then only use the dock for active apps. This way, you have a quick and easy way to know what’s running. Also suggest looking into Raycast or Alfred if you are a power user, able to launch or quit apps, find files, preview things, all the sorts.
