New York Liberty star Breanna Stewart will return to the lineup Monday against the Connecticut Sun, snapping an absence that dates back to her July 26 knee injury. Liberty coach Sandy Brondello confirmed Stewart's availability ahead of the 7:00 p.m. ET tip-off.

Breanna Stewart has been granted her wish of returning to the court before her 31st birthday. After missing the past month with a bone bruise in her right knee, Stewart received the green light from the Liberty’s medical staff to play in Monday’s game against the Connecticut Sun at Barclays Center.

All-Star forward Breanna Stewart will return to the New York Liberty lineup on Monday night after missing 13 games with a knee injury.
