The Minnesota Vikings added quarterback Carson Wentz to its roster on Sunday after the team traded Sam Howell to the Philadelphia Eagles.

CBS Sports' Cody Benjamin is now highlighting that move in a recent piece where he ranked the best backup quarterbacks in the NFL. Wentz has earned the third-ranked spot in the piece and gives the Vikings one of the best backup quarterbacks in the NFL, in his eyes.

After hosting Carson Wentz on a visit over the weekend, the Vikings signed him on Sunday morning to presumably be the next man up behind J.J. McCarthy.
