Manchester United have submitted an improved bid for Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo in a push to seal Ruben Amorim 's second major signing of the summer, according to reports. And the Bees' expected stance has since emerged after over a month of playing hardball with their Old Trafford counterparts, including rejecting two offers.

The news comes just hours after it was revealed that Newcastle United had stepped up their interest in Mbeumo's strike partner, Yoane Wissa.
