Royals manager Matt Quatraro popped out of the dugout for an explanation that he deemed unsatisfactory. The Royals challenged, claiming fan interference, but lost and Witt ended up with a double. Fortunately for the Royals, Salvador Perez hit a two-out single that scored Witt, so they got the run in the end.

Bobby Witt Jr. has hit his 100th career home run, and it put him on elite franchise, positional and league-wide lists.

“Bobby Witt Jr. is out of the #KCRoyals lineup today with a stiff back,” Theodore Tollefson of Twins Daily wrote on X. “Manager Matt Quatraro said he woke up with it yesterday and was able to play through it. Witt is still available off the bench today if he feels well enough to hit.”
