A report of an active shooter at the University of South Carolina’s campus library Sunday was part of a swatting hoax, a school spokesperson said.

Police say there’s no evidence of a mass shooting at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville campus Monday, despite an elevated law enforcement presence and panic among students. The university sent out an alert shortly before 12:30 p.m. Monday saying “an active shooter was reported on campus near the Mullins Library.”
