According to Scott Mills, BET's CEO, both the BET Hip-Hop Awards and the Soul Train Music Awards have been indefinitely suspended.

BET shockingly announced it has indefinitely suspended two of its most iconic annual events, the BET Hip Hop Awards and the Soul Train Awards.

The Soul Train Awards, which honor the best in Black culture, music and entertainment, received its name from the legendary show. It launched in 1987 and featured performances by R&B and soul artists.
