The International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants Tuesday for two top Taliban officials over a plethora of allegations of crimes against women and young girls.

The court charged two Taliban leaders with committing crimes against humanity by systematically persecuting girls and women.

The arrest warrants, for Afghanistan’s leader and its top justice official, say the restrictions on women and girls are evidence of crimes against humanity.
