After back-to-back seasons of falling short in the Stanley Cup Final, it is not surprising to see that there will be a lot of continuity throughout the Edmonton Oilers lineup.

The veteran winger signed a one-year contract worth $3 million with the Sharks in free agency, the team announced Friday. Skinner, who turned 33 in May, is heading into his 16th NHL season. He posted 29 points (16 goals, 13 assists) in 72 games with the Oilers before spending most of the team's run to the Stanley Cup Final as a healthy scratch.
