Tropical Storm Fernand has formed in the Atlantic Ocean southeast of Bermuda, forecasters said Saturday. Fernand is the sixth named storm of the 2025 Atlantic hurricane season, and it comes on the heels of Hurricane Erin, which formed in a similar area on Aug. 15.

Fernand remains a Tropical Storm, with sustained winds of 45 MPH.Fernand will continue to weaken for the next couple days. Thankfully, Fernand will avoid any interaction with land, staying south of Nova Scotia and Newfoundland.

The season's sixth named storm, Tropical Storm Fernand, weakened slightly overnight in the Atlantic Ocean and is expected to dissipate before the end of the work week, forecasters said Tuesday.
