Claude Code subagents receive CLAUDE.md—but not the conversation or read files

When you delegate a task to a Claude Code subagent, it receives the full hierarchy of CLAUDE.md and the git status, but it does not receive the conversation history or the files read by the parent.

It's just luck that it works — 74.5% of 455 AI libraries were importing dependencies not listed in requirements.txt

Yet, it's a ModuleNotFoundError in CI. When you ask an AI agent to 'set this up and run it,' it stops at the very first step.
