The UK promised greater access to Chinese markets for Britain’s services sector, including visa-free travel, after Prime Minister Keir Starmer and President Xi Jinping agreed in Beijing to build a more stable relationship.

Those visiting the country for less than 30 days will no longer need a visa under the agreement.

The Prime Minister hailed landmark talks with the Beijing leader as the start of a new “sophisticated” relationship between the two countries.
