President Trump sent a warning to Washington Mayor Muriel Bowser (D) early Friday, threatening to extend the federal takeover of local police in the nation’s capital and citing “inaccurate” crime reporting data.

U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday said Washington Mayor Muriel Bowser "better get her act straight" or she won't continue in her role too far in the future. "It was unsafe," Trump told reporters.

An outspoken Trump critic in his first term, Bowser tried cooperation in his second. But that didn't stop the president from taking over the city's police department and sending in National Guard troops.
