CINCINNATI — The Bengals and Trey Hendrickson have re-started contract talks in recent days. With the start of the regular season just 13 days away, both sides are feeling some urgency to get a deal in place so the reigning NFL sack leader is on the field for the Bengals season opener against the Browns.

NFL insider Jordan Schultz tweeted Monday the Bengals have resumed contract negotiations with the star pass-rusher. According to Schultz, both parties are exploring a "unique avenue" to get something done. This includes adding more money to his 2025 deal and letting it expire after the season. Hendrickson is set to make $15.8M this season.
