LOS ANGELES (AP) — Netflix appears to have its first No. 1 box-office title in the streaming company’s 18-year history thanks to the sensation of “KPop Demon Hunters.” Rival studios on Sunday estimated “KPop Demon Hunters” led all films over the weekend with $16-18 million in ticket sales.

The sing-along version of the animated film “KPop Demon Hunters”, which has become a cultural phenomenon, topped the domestic box office this weekend, in what appears to be a historic first for streaming giant Netflix.

Netflix may have had its first No. 1 weekend at the box office ever with “ KPop Demon Hunters Sing-Along,” but you wouldn’t know that from asking Netflix.
