Tropical Storm Fernand is expected to continue its path over the central Atlantic Ocean for the next couple of days and pose no threat to land, the National Hurricane Center said Monday evening.The storm is also expected to start weakening Monday night,

Tropical Storm Fernand was approximately 300 miles southeast of Bermuda, with maximum sustained winds of 40 mph as of 5 a.m.

According to the National Hurricane Center's 5 a.m. Tuesday advisory, Tropical Storm Fernand is in the Atlantic Ocean, 550 miles east-northeast of Bermuda. With maximum sustained winds of 50 mph, it is moving northeast at 13 mph.
