COLUMBIA, S.C. - A 12-year-old boy died from a brain-eating amoeba two weeks after a holiday weekend on South Carolina’s popular Lake Murray. Jaysen Carr’s parents spoke out Tuesday, calling for more warnings about the rare but deadly organism.

As they grieve their son, the boy's parents are speaking out to try to prevent anyone else from losing a child.
