Carroll was not the only big offseason addition. Geno Smith was also acquired from the Seattle Seahawks in a trade that brought in the legitimate starting quarterback the Raiders have been needing. Las Vegas also traded for Kenny Pickett to be his primary backup.

The Steelers could certainly use a player like Meyers, who was a 1,000-yard receiver for the Raiders in 2024, as a complement to DK Metcalf on the outside.

After that, Las Vegas will look to the waiver wire and free agency for players who could possibly help fill some of their remaining needs.

11:08pm: Cooper’s one-year deal with the Raiders (which is now official) is worth a $3.5MM base value, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. The contract also contains $500K in per-game roster bonuses plus up to another $2MM in incentives. The max value comes in at $6MM.

The Las Vegas Raiders added some firepower to the wide receiver room after signing Amri Cooper to a one-year, $4 million contract.

Cooper’s reunion with the Raiders feels less like a routine transaction and more like the next chapter of a storybook return.
