India, July 1 -- Controversial Telangana politician T Raja Singh, who has often dominated headlines over hate speech and communally-charged remarks, has quit the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
BJP's Raja Iqbal Singh and Jai Bhagwan Yadav have filed nominations, while Congress has also nominated candidates, setting the stage for the April 25th election.
Raja Iqbal Singh previously served as mayor in the north corporation and is currently the leader of the opposition, along with Yadav, who serves as deputy leader of the opposition.
