Desert Hot Springs approved a spa revitalization program in 2021. Four spa hotels have used it so far.

According to West, the goal for the full reopening is June. The goal is to reopen with 12 tubs. Prior to Helene's devastation, the Hot Springs Resort and Spa operated 16 tubs on the resort side.
