A DeSoto County school bus driver has been arrested on duty according to the Southaven Police Department. Southaven Police say the bus driver failed to stop at a stop sign and drove into traffic.

Williams was arrested on Aug. 13, after he was believed to have an active warrant. Southaven Police Officers said they witnessed the bus drive through a stop sign and into traffic.

The school district said that the bus driver's contempt of court charge was issued in error and that it will be dismissed.
