The Athletic's Chris Vannini released his ranking of all 136 college football teams entering the 2025 season on Monday. The Wisconsin Badgers came in at No. 64, just above conference rivals Rutgers and UCLA.
The power conferences have contracts with non-CFP bowls that expire after the current season, but old ties remain for the former Pac-12 members scattered across four different conferences. Like last year, the Pac-12’s previous bowls will choose from the league’s current (Oregon State and Washington State) and former members.
ESPN updated its 2026 College Football Recruiting Class Rankings on Thursday and Kansas dropped from No. 37 to No. 38 in the most recent list. Considering the Jayhawks finished 5-7 a year ago, head coach Lance Leipold should probably just be happy to see his team crack ESPN's Top 40 List.
