Good Day Atlanta’s Paul Milliken spent the morning at Château Élan Winery & Resort, an award-winning luxury destination sitting on 3,500 acres in North Georgia.

Chateau Elan planted its first vineyard in 1983 and bottled its first wine in 1985. From there, the rest of the resort was built around the grape vines, the paper said.

In 2013, the vineyards were replanted. In 2015, the winery was renovated. And in 2016, Chateau Elan’s wine program became the most-awarded winery on the East Coast.
