Blue Ivy Carter will make her feature film debut in the new movie "Mufasa: The Lion King," out Dec. 20. Here's what to know about her acting gig.
Mufasa: The Lion King will feature Beyoncé and her daughter Blue Ivy Carter as mother-daughter duo Nala and Kiara in the film.
Kiara was barely a feature of Mufasa: The Lion King, but the parallels created between her character, Mufasa, and Simba can be paid off in the future.
And fans are looking forward to seeing Beyoncé and Blue Ivy's dynamic through their characters on-screen. Kiara last appeared in the animated film "The Lion King II: Simba's Pride" in 1998.
This babysitting arrangement serves as a set up for Rafiki (John Kani) — who must be canonically immortal, at this point — to tell Kiara the story of her grandfather, Mufasa.
Blue Ivy Carter performed with her mom, Beyoncé, on the Renaissance tour last summer, and is set to join her again in the new “Lion King” film, “Mufasa,” coming in December.
