UEFA has confirmed changes to the 2025/26 Champions League. The second-leg venue will now be decided by merit, not random draw, following Arsenal's complaints.

The Champions League qualifiers began on Tuesday evening and UEFA are preparing to announce a two-fold rule change for the tournament proper which isn't going down well with football fans

UEFA Champions League officially begins today, July 8, with the first-round qualifying fixtures. There will be a total of 14 matches played

The change will come in the knockout rounds. In 2024–25, the best-performing teams from the opening phase only had an advantage in the round of 16, where they hosted the second leg. But from the quarterfinals onward, all teams were on equal footing.
