Sami Whitcomb scored 29 of her career-high 36 points in the first half, Alyssa Thomas had her 16th career triple-double and the Phoenix Mercury beat the Dallas Wings 102-72.

Despite the loss, rookie JJ Quinerly had a career-high 18 points and a career-best four made threes during the game.

Before the Mercury announced the return of DeWanna Bonner, Alyssa Thomas and Sami Whitcomb came up big for the team. There was no bigger example of their important contributions than Monday’s huge win at home.
