New York Yankees left-hander Carlos Rodon was named to the American League All-Star team on Friday, replacing teammate Max Fried. Rodon was one of three pitchers added to the AL roster on Friday. The others are Kansas City Royals right-hander Carlos Estevez and Detroit Tigers right-hander Casey Mize.

Carlos Rodón was named a replacement for Max Fried, who will be starting on Saturday and thus likely unavailable to pitch in the All-Star Game on Tuesday.
