On Wednesday the NBA announced the group drawings for the 2025 in-season tournament known as the NBA Cup. The NBA teams are split into six groups of five teams, the Mavericks landing in the West B group along with the LA Clippers, Memphis Grizzlies, New Orleans Pelicans and, of course, Luka Doncic and the LA Lakers.
Veteran guard D'Angelo Russell provided a behind-the-scenes look at the moment he agreed to sign with the Dallas Mavericks.

The Dallas Mavericks finally filled their coaching vacancies on Wednesday, with the hiring of the sixth and final coach. That coach is a three-time NBA All-Star.
A social media post from hip hop star Megan Thee Stallion revealed an interesting resemblance to an NBA champion in the background.

Cooper Flagg is yet to play a game for the Dallas Mavericks, although his long-awaited Summer League debut should answer some questions about the role he will have in the NBA.
The Dallas Mavericks and Jason Kidd have had a busy offseason trying to overhaul their coaching staff. They've lost six assistants in the last five months for varying reasons, but Dallas has done a good job of filling those spots with high-level coaches.
