On Wednesday night, Kansas City Royals rookie Jac Caglianone pulverized a Bailey Falter sinker over the center field batter's eye at Kauffman Stadium. The titanic 466-foot blast was the longest home run by any Royals player this season.

Jac Caglianone needed a minute to catch his breath as he stood on the top step of the dugout. He had just circled the bases. In the second inning, the Kansas City Royals outfielder blasted his third home run - a first at Kauffman Stadium - against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

That power flashed big-time on Wednesday, when he crushed a 466-foot homer over the batter's eye off Pittsburgh Pirates starter Bailey Falter. The long ball, measured at 110.8 mph off the bat, put the Royals up 3-0. It was the fourth homer in 32 games of Caglianone's career.
