Randy Orton is throwing his name into the mix for James Gunn’s DCU Batman, hinting at interest in taking on the iconic role in the upcoming reboot — especially as Gunn’s Superman gains early momentum.

Writer/director/studio head James Gunn previously explained how Superman and Peacemaker connect in a particular way. Superman, the first film in a new rebooted era for the DC superhero franchise, flew into theaters this weekend.

Instead of retreading narrative subject matter audiences have become bored with (no baby Kal-El in a spaceship crashing to Earth here), Gunn's take on the character's story drops the audience into an already built world.
