The AAIB on Saturday released its preliminary report on the Air India Ahmedabad crash of June 12, shedding light on some key aspects of the tragic accident. The crash took place in the densely populated Meghani Nagar area of Ahmedabad.

According to AAIB's report, the engine fuel control switches of the plane were cut off seconds after of lift off, with one of the pilots asking the other why did he cut off and the latter responding saying he did not do so.
